Full Moon and Low Tide

Three nights ago was the first full moon of September.

The Resort was void of guests, cooks, housekeepers, gardeners, construction workers, boatmen, dive masters, all of the boats, and even Jason was gone. Joe and I had the entire place to ourselves.

The full moon was out and there was only a scattering of clouds in the sky. The tide was low and the wind was non-existent. I could see the entire hillside, the resort, the water, and the reef perfectly because of the moons’ radiant light. Almost as if it was day time.

I walked onto the beach and put my feet in the water. As I looked out over the ocean, I told myself to remember this image forever. To never forget this sight, this feeling. The feeling of peace, of tranquility, of beauty, of solitude.

Clayt, I wish I could have been sitting next to you, not speaking, just listening…………….to the calm. Luv
